The author analyzes the data of Rosstat and the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation on the main macroeconomic indicators and foreign trade turnover of Russia for 2017, and also considers the federal budget for 2018 and for the planning period 2019–2020. based on scenario conditions and forecast parameters developed by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation for the coming period, taking into account possible changes in internal and external factors, the dynamics of the external economic situation and global economic development trends.

The article is devoted to the analysis of how the implementation of megaprojects affects the awareness of the nation and how the types of implemented megaprojects themselves are determined by national identity. The article discusses two specific examples of the implementation of projects in England and the United States in the XVIII – XIX centuries. The focus is on such issues as government participation in megaprojects, the financial or economic nature of projects, the role of the media in promoting projects, infrastructural and demographic advantages of megaprojects.

INDIA AND PAKISTAN: PROBLEMS OF BILATERAL RELATIONS

India and Pakistan are two regional leaders and major powers of Southeast Asia, on the relations of which security and stability in this region depend. The relations between the two countries are affected by three factors: different approaches to world politics and international relations; a dispute over Kashmir’s affiliation; the problem of nuclear confrontation. The priority vectors of foreign policy of India and Pakistan are perpendicular to each other. The main direction of India’s foreign policy is the regional vector, positioning itself as a leader in the region. The main objective of Pakistan’s foreign policy is to contain India in its dominance policy in South Asia. The conflict between India and Pakistan gradually turned into a proxy war that is being waged on the territory of Afghanistan.

The article discusses the current state of the domestic tourism market. Specific features are inherent in any market; in this article, attention is drawn to the characteristic features of the domestic tourism market, which have developed over the past decades under the influence of global processes. The article shows that the domestic tourism market demonstrates a high level of dynamism, a reorientation of tourist flows, the desire to comply with international standards for tourist services. The impact of globalization of the world economy is manifested on the market in centralization, enlargement of tour operators and the penetration of foreign companies. The article notes that the interconnectedness and interdependence of the main elements of the tourism market should be considered on a global scale. To enter the unified information and communication space, the domestic tourism market needs to rebuild business models based on digitalization and innovative technologies, including blockchain.

PECULIARITIES OF THE PROCESS OF INTEGRATION OF RUSSIAN SCIENCE IN THE GLOBAL PUBLICATION SPACE

abstract

The paper discusses the absolute and relative changes in the number of publication activities of Russian scientists in the Scopus and Web of Science databases from 2013 to 2016. in certain areas of science, levels of international cooperation, individual regions of work of Russian scientists and organizations. It is shown that the increase in the number of publications in international databases is mainly associated with an increase in the number of Russian scientists in the preparation of such publications and an increase in the publication activity of scientific leaders, universities showed the largest increase in publication activity. There is an increase in the number of highly cited publications; it is growing in proportion to the increase in the total number of publications. It is substantiated that the growth of publication activity in recent years has occurred not so much due to the financing of science, but due to organizational measures to stimulate active and promising teams and research, including as part of programs to support leading universities and the development of scientific foundations.

EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: NEW SOLUTIONS FOR A GLOBAL OUTLOOK

The article argues that education for sustainable development (ESD) is becoming a leading and priority key means of achieving sustainable development (SD). The transition to SD is already beginning to take place with the establishment of ESD, which acts as the main “mechanism” for achieving the 17 global sustainable development goals (SDGs), which are on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It is noted that to the already sufficiently developed environmental component of ESD, new most promising models and types of advanced education will be added. Moreover, as the most cardinal and priority characteristics of SD are identified, they will be mastered by education, join existing components, and thus ESD will be formed in its full global-system format.
