Abstract

The study examines the theoretical aspects of lending to small and medium-sized businesses in the Russian Federation at the present stage. Important trends emerging in bank lending to small and medium-sized businesses are noted, and a comparative analysis is made between lending to small and medium-sized businesses. Based on the data of the Central Bank, an assessment is made of the current stage of lending to small and medium-sized businesses. In the final part of the study, the main prospects for the development of bank lending to small and medium-sized businesses in the Russian Federation in the medium term are con-sidered.
