Abstract

The article discusses the main trends and problems of the development of the vegetable grow-ing complex of the Republic of Dagestan. The socio-economic importance of this direction is emphasized, especially for the mountainous regions of the republic, including the cultivation of closed ground. The necessity of investment provision of the industry and the use of modern innovative technologies at all stages of product movement along the logistics chain «field-counter» is substantiated. The ways of effective use of available reserves to increase vegetable production in the republic are proposed.
