Abstract
The world energy industry is undergoing another transformational transition. The ongoing processes are transforming national energy systems, changing the established and forming new principles of work. The article examines the factors contributing to the acceleration of the energy transition and stimulating it. The reasons for the development of the concept of distributed energy in developed countries are investigated.
