Abstract
The article presents a detailed description of the algorithm for solving the problem of headcount optimization using the Microsoft Excel software product. The use of appropriate software is illustrated by the example of solving a non-trivial optimization problem related to the company’s labor resources: minimizing the number of personnel, and the associated task of minimizing personnel costs. The procedure for forming the objective function and choosing constraints in each of the described problems is considered.
