Abstract
The preservation of critical knowledge has become a serious problem for modern organizations.
Today there is no universal and widespread method of preserving knowledge.
To manage this process, it is necessary to determine which knowledge needs to be preserved. To do this, it is
important to identify the causes of the loss of knowledge and assess the risks of the organization arising from such
a loss. It is advisable to manage the preservation of knowledge on the basis of a value chain.
The article presents the structure of the processes of the “Value formation” stage within the value chain of the
knowledge preservation process. The implementation of such processes makes it possible to identify the knowledge
that needs to be preserved and to prioritize the appropriate management actions.
