Abstract

Currently, import substitution has affected all areas, including information technology. Russian developers are creating domestic operating systems to replace Windows that has left Russia. The article considers one of the domestic Linux distributions, a comparative analysis is carried out. It is revealed that the distribution is well comparable with the most popular and well-known operating system. The reasons why a full-fledged transition from Windows is currently impossible have been identified.
