Abstract
Socio-economic transformations in the economy lead to the need to expand the female labor market, working women are an important socio-demographic group. The article substantiates the relevance of the problems related to gender inequality in the labor market, shows the existing problematic situation, which lies in a deep contradiction between the constitutional principle of equal rights and opportunities of the sexes in all spheres and the actual discrimination of women in the field of labor and employment.
