Abstract
The article is devoted to research of existing model of the public procurement in terms of economic security. The author determines the key actors of the socio-economic system, identifies their vital economic interests, and reveals threats to the considered interests by results of the analysis. This made it possible to establish of a causal link between non-compliance by the group of procurement interests and the consequent rejection of competitive procurement, as well as a reduction in the effectiveness of strategic development objectives. The findings of the article confirm the need to take into account the assessment of existing threats to the interests of contract system’s entities, their ratio, and the current experience of procurement in reforming the contractual system.
