Abstract
Based on the study of the main national systems of electronic document management and corporate content management, areas of activity with unresolved problems are identified, for which there is a demand from the majority of small businesses that require solutions in the form of transforming the document management system. The requirements for document management systems by small businesses are determined and the directions for the development of such systems are identified. The author identifies problems that hinder the introduction of digital tools for managing documents in small businesses, and suggests ways to solve these problems.
