Abstract
The study of the development of approaches and methods for evaluating the effectiveness of
innovation management has been relevant for a long time. Innovations in digital format have become one of
the most discussed topics in the scientific community and business circles. With the growth of technological
progress and the formation of a new economic order, the question arose again of what methods should be
used to assess the effectiveness of innovation management now.
Within the framework of this article, the team of authors analyzes and summarizes the experience of how
the effectiveness of innovation management was assessed earlier and today. The article reveals the difference
between the concepts of “evaluating the effectiveness of innovations” and “evaluating the effectiveness
of innovation management”, describes the indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of innovative projects,
summarizes the errors that occur in the evaluation process. Within the framework of the study, three main
approaches used now are singled out, their essence is revealed.
