Abstract
Today, copper is of key importance for the development of both the global economic system
and the economy of the Russian Federation, its importance is increasing every day.
Decarbonization is one of the global projects involving the use of copper, where copper plays a key role.
Copper is involved in the production of electric vehicles, wind turbines, and other technical means and devices
used in «green» energy. Russia is a leader in the copper market, however, factors of a predominantly foreign
political nature may have an impact on its turnover in the near future.
The article is devoted to the analysis of indicators of copper sales in Russia and on the world stage,
and also considers the main competitive relations in this area. Prospects for the development of the copper
market, including forecasts of the price level presented by leading analytical agencies, are also considered.
