Abstract
The article discusses the issues of analyzing financial indicators when assessing the competitive environment, which involves studying the external environment, competitors, threats and opportunities through the tools of indicators and metrics. Financial indicators allow us to identify risks, competitiveness, customer focus, degree of innovation and technological development, marketing efficiency and level of market penetration. The stage-by-stage analysis of the competitive environment is presented through the analysis of financial results, working capital, long-term and short-term financial indicators, and assessment of operating indicators. The features of assessment for some segments of the economy are considered. Attention is paid to the analysis of financial statements as a key tool for assessing the financial condition and competitive environment of an organization, allowing one to identify trends, draw conclusions about the current financial position of the company and predict future results. Financial indicators with a brief description are indicated; the influence of the external competitive environment on financial indicators is presented in tabular form. A practical example of the implementation of market and competitive environment analysis is considered, demonstrating the identification of ineffective processes and structures in an enterprise for the development of effective management strategies and successful functioning in the market.
