Abstract

The article discusses the current aspects of economic diversification and the problems associated with this process in the regional economy in relation to the level of economic security at the regional level. The paper analyzes the economic situation of the federal districts and one of the subjects of the Russian Federation on the basis of the average gross regional product for the district. Measures are proposed to strengthen the diversification of the economy of the regions of the Russian Federation, including for the studied subjects of the Russian Federation.
