Abstract
Discussions are an act of collective thinking that establishes social values. The culture of network communication, network ethics or, as A. A. Moseyko calls it, “netics”, the rules of digital etiquette – all these issues are very relevant today. A key role is played by the work of the site regulations, which, due to inefficiency or bias, not only do not regulate and suppress conflict situations, but sometimes contribute to their spread. The importance of social networks as platforms for the formation of public opinion is shown. In the course of the survey, the degree of admissibility of various types of critical statements from the point of view of the users themselves was studied using a specially developed methodology. The results showed that the majority of users have an extremely negative attitude towards rude communication on the Internet, and are positive about discussion, guided by similar criteria when defining and identifying them, which indicates the development of self-regulation mechanisms in social networks. These problems play an important role in the regulation and self-regulation of aggression in cyberspace.
