Abstract

Today, the document “The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015, remains relevant and generally recognized at the global level. An objective assessment of the intermediate results of countries on the seventeen UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), formulated in this document, is currently one of the most controversial aspects related to the sustainable development agenda, both for international organizations and for the academic community. This article examines the key problems and scientific approaches to the methodology for assessing the progress of states in the implementation of the SDGs and their individual tasks.
