Abstract
This article discusses the development of robotics as a strategic industry. A retrospective analysis of the development of robotics in Russia was carried out, as well as the experience of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region on the robotization of the economy was analyzed. It is becoming categorically obvious that the use of robots is necessary to create an accelerated pace of economic development of the country. Based on the factors considered, it is substantiated that the Russian Far East is a priority region for the development of this industry.
