Abstract
In this article, mechatronics is considered as a field of scientific knowledge, the purpose of which is the production of innovations. The fact is substantiated that in modern conditions mechatronics provides and accelerates the pace of economic and social development. In many ways, the rejection of the development of mechatronics leads to irreparable consequences and structural economic crises. In the current conditions, mechatronics can become the branch of knowledge that will lead to maximizing the economic effect of the Russian industry.
