Abstract

The article considers the main stages of the formation of the essence of the concepts of “sustainable development”, “education for sustainable development”. The review of the state of the Russian Federation on the way to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals has been carried out. The main goals, objectives and directions for the formation of an education system to ensure sustainability are formulated.
