Abstract
The article examines the role of the state in the development of financial education of the Russian population as an important element of stabilizing the country’s economy. The article examines the development and effectiveness of the functioning of institutions established in the Russian Federation to improve financial literacy of the Russian population, federal and regional methodological centers and programs aimed at financial education of Russian citizens.
