Abstract
The main course of the Strategy for the Development of the Customs Service of the Russian
Federation until 2030 is based on the digitalization of customs authorities, and most of the measures planned
for implementation are the use of promising customs technologies. Digitalization of customs authorities also correlates with the principles set out in the program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”, which is
the basis and the need to modernize existing systems in customs authorities. The application of modern and
promising customs technologies is determined by two important goals: to increase the efficiency of customs
authorities using advanced innovations, and to ensure the convenience of interaction with participants in foreign
economic activity.
The article discusses the basics of using modern customs technologies based on the electronic form of
declaring goods, as well as the introduction of artificial intelligence in customs operations. Based on the results
of the study, proposals are made to solve problems related to the use of promising customs technologies
used by the customs authorities of the Russian Federation.
