Abstract

The article discusses modern thermoelectric materials and their application in energy-efficient devices. Key parameters affecting the efficiency of thermoelectric conversions, such as the Seebeck coefficient, thermal conductivity, and electrical conductivity, are described. The basic mechanisms of operation of thermoelectric generators and coolers, prospects for using these technologies in various industries and existing problems on the way to their widespread implementation are also discussed. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of current challenges and future directions of research in the field of thermoelectricity.
