Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the position of regions in international competition, consideration of the main factors determining their competitiveness. The main attention is paid to the aspects of regional competition, the influence of state policy on the development of regions, as well as the analysis of examples of regions’ participation in the global economy. The main tasks associated with the difficulties of regions are identified, and directions for increasing their competitiveness are proposed.
