Abstract
In the context of global economic instability, the economy of the Russian Federation must be ready to quickly respond to external and internal challenges. It is necessary to adapt the economic system, capable of functioning in a crisis, while maintaining production capacity and jobs. An important emphasis here falls on the effective management of economic resources in a crisis or the mobilization of economic resources in the context of shock effects of the external environment. Thus, the transition to a mobilization economy is becoming an important component of the national development strategy of the Russian Federation in the strategic perspective. This circumstance predetermined the choice of the research topic. The purpose of the study is to assess the mobilization readiness of the regional economy. The research methods were empirical- statistical and comparative analysis. As a result, the authors concluded that the economies of the regions of the Central Federal District are mobilized.
