Abstract

As a profession, teachers of professional institutions have five characteristics: the heterogeneity of professional objects, the generative nature of the course content, the crossborder working environment, the individuality of teaching methods and the stage of career growth. Her path of professional development has two characteristics: the special content and type of knowledge required for specialization, and the special organizational environment in which specialization takes place. Based on this, the professional development of teachers mainly revolves around three dimensions of professional knowledge, professional skills and professional qualities and goes through four stages of "beginner-master-specialist". In order to increase the level of professional development of teachers of professional institutions, it is necessary to fully disclose the main role of vocational pedagogical education in education, to build a mechanism to support the professional development of teachers of professional institutions. The on-site practical learning model creates a solid internal and external institutional system for the professional development of teachers in professional institutions.
