Abstract

The article considers thermal processes occurring in electrical machines and methods of their modeling in order to optimize cooling systems. Various heat sources, heat transfer mechanisms, and approaches to creating effective mathematical models that allow predicting the thermal behavior of machines are discussed. Based on the modeling results, the optimization of cooling systems is carried out, the advantages and disadvantages of various heat removal methods are analyzed. The presented results can be used to improve the reliability and efficiency of electrical machines.
