Abstract
The subject of the study is the interaction of project management entities in state fi-nancial control bodies. The article analyzes the application of flexible project management methods in the public sector. Theoretical studies on the implementation of project management in government agencies have been studied. An expert survey of employees of the state financial control bodies using the Agile methodology when creating IT projects was conducted. As a hypothesis of the expert survey, the thesis was put forward that government officials do not have a broad understanding of flexible management methods. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that the key problems of their implementation are associated with strict regulatory regulation of the activities of state bodies, which limits the freedom of creativity in the management environment, and this is the key condition for the application of flexible approaches. For the widespread use of flexible approaches, it is necessary to amend a number of existing legal acts regulating the procedure for conducting public procurement and evaluating the activities of federal executive authorities.
