Abstract

This article examines the impact of major sporting events on the socio-eco-nomic development of the regions. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the mechanisms of using sports infrastructure after the end of the competition and evaluating the effectiveness in the long term. The study provides a theoretical review of domestic and foreign sources in the field of economics, management and sports, as well as analyzes key indicators, including GDP growth, the formation of new jobs, infrastructure development and an increase in tourist flow in the regions where sporting events were held. The research is aimed at identifying factors contributing to the effective management of sports heritage, as well as the risks associated with such events.
