Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the role of private investment in the devel-opment of professional sports in Russia. The main purpose of the study is to analyze ways to attract private investment through public-private partnerships in order to finance sports infra-structure, train athletes and organize major events. The article uses methods of content analysis, mathematical statistics and comparative analysis, which allow a comprehensive study of the impact of private capital on professional sports.

Public-private partnerships are an effective risk-sharing tool between government and business, but there are problems associated with long payback periods and legal regulation. The article discusses exam-ples of successful use of PPP in the creation of sports facilities and infrastructure development.
The peculiarity of the study is to study the role and prospects of using private investment in the Russian sports industry, as well as to identify the need to improve the legal framework and create incentives for investors.
