Abstract
The article presents the scientific strategy of the viticulture and winemaking subcomplex of the
agro-industrial complex, and carries out a theoretical analysis of ensuring an increase in the growth rate of
viticulture and winemaking in the Republic of Dagestan.
The importance of developing the industry of viticulture, winemaking, and cognac production has been
updated and the main trends have been established; organizational issues of the winemaking subcomplex,
problems and ways to solve them have been considered.
The reasons were identified, caused by economic instability and the quality of the products produced,
which meet global criteria, and the cost of production and value should not exceed similar results from
competitors.
The need for technological updating regarding the production of high-quality types of wine products has
been identified to ensure a reduction in production costs and to protect the quality control of viticulture and
winemaking products.
The significant difficulties of the grape-growing and winemaking industry in the development of the agroindustrial
complex and ways to solve them in the interests of supporting domestic producers are emphasized.
The key tasks of scientific support for strengthening viticulture and winemaking, based on the latest
scientific data, have been established.
A proposed set of regulatory measures is outlined based on the best use of internal reserves for the
development of the viticulture and winemaking subcomplex of the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of
Dagestan.
The expected technological changes with a focus on the future, innovative and strategic technologies to
ensure its competitiveness and ensure increased profitability have been identified.
The information base for the study was data from Rosstat and its regional services, Rosreestr, the Ministry
of Agriculture of Russia and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan.
