Abstract
Family environment plays a key role in shaping a child’s personality and educational achievements. This article analyzes the influence of family atmosphere, parental involvement and their level of education on students’ academic performance. Aspects of parental involvement in the educational process, the psychological climate of family life, as well as the impact of socio-economic status on children’s educational achievements are discussed. The research results confirm that active support of parents, their interest in their children’s studies and the presence of favorable conditions for learning contribute to higher academic results and successful socialization. The article emphasizes the need to create support programs for parents and educational institutions aimed at improving interaction between the family and the school.
