Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the role of physical activity in the formation of human
capital, considering its impact on health, social and professional skills. The main purpose of the study is to
analyze the relationship between physical activity, educational and motivational processes, as well as their
contribution to the development of human capital in the context of digital transformation.
Methods of comparative, statistical and spatial analysis were used to achieve the goal. The data on the
involvement of the population in sports, the popularity of various sports and regional differences in the availability
of sports infrastructure are analyzed. The main results showed a positive trend in the involvement of the
population in sports, popular sports were identified, and an analysis of factors influencing low sports activity in
a number of regions was carried out.
The study highlights the role of physical activity as a tool for improving the quality of life and sustainable
economic development. The peculiarity of the work lies in an approach that combines the analysis of statistical
data, the study of regional characteristics and the integration of scientific findings into strategic planning.
The results can be used in the development of regional programs aimed at improving the level of health and
quality of human capital.
