Abstract

The article studies the current state of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) as the main driver of competitive growth of the national economy of the Russian Federation. The analysis of external and internal causes and factors influencing the structure of the area under study is carried out in the conditions of its comparison. The practical significance of the work lies in the direct use of a business indicator by the vector of influence on the business project management system to assess the identified forms of entrepreneurship in the national economy. Scientific novelty lies in identifying a new, more competitive form of entrepreneurial thought, as the most innovative and safe, based on systematic study, development, and application of business indicators.
