Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of personal data protection mechanisms in social networks. The aim of the work is to analyze the existing methods of protecting users’ information and to identify privacy issues. As a result of the study, the main vulnerabilities associated with the use of social networks are identified and recommendations for improving the level of personal data security are proposed. The practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of using the results obtained to develop effective strategies to protect the information of social network users and to raise awareness of citizens about their rights to protection from misuse of their data.
