Abstract
The article is devoted to assessing the current state and development prospects of the agri-food sector of the Russian Federation in the context of globalization and digitalization of the economy. The paper examines the key problems of the sector, paying special attention to the role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in optimizing management processes, increasing labor productivity and expanding sales markets. The paper proposes strategic directions for the formation of an effective structure of the agri-food complex at the level of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including an analysis of the potential of regions, modernization of the technological base, development of infrastructure and human resources. The need for interdepartmental coordination and comprehensive measures of state support to ensure food security, increase export potential and sustainable socio-economic development of rural areas is emphasized. It is concluded that the introduction of innovative technologies in management processes and production practices will allow the formation of an effective structure of the sector that meets modern challenges and the requirements of the time.
