Abstract
Higher mathematics is the main content of human civilization, an integral and important part of personal qualities, as well as the basic work of higher professional and technical education. In most of the existing professional talent training programs in the higher professional education system, higher mathematics, as an important cultural basic course and a course of professional tools, plays a vital role in the subsequent education of students and improving their general level of knowledge. However, according to research in relevant institutions, mathematics, which should be a key subject for developing students’ abilities, has been repeatedly reduced in academic hours in many higher professional institutions and is even in danger of being abolished in many specialties. What is the reason for this math situation? How can mathematics teaching be brought out of its predicament and returned to its proper educational function? This article analyzes and discusses this from a practical point of view.
