Abstract

The development of modular and easily replaceable battery packs for electric vehicles promises significant improvements in the economics of battery maintenance and recycling. This paper discusses the benefits of using modular batteries, including reduced maintenance costs, improved repair availability, and the creation of a secondary market for battery components. Designing such packs opens up new opportunities for extending battery life and simplifying the recycling process. The article analyzes the impact of modular design on reducing operating costs, creating flexibility in replacing cells, and the potential for creating sustainable economic models in the electric vehicle industry. The results show that the transition to modular batteries can lead to a decrease in the total cost of ownership of an electric vehicle and strengthen the secondary market for battery recycling.
