Abstract
Integration of electric vehicles (EV) into the smart city ecosystem is becoming a key element of sustainable urban development. In the context of rapid growth of transport-generated data and expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure, new economic models are being formed that focus on monetization of data and digital services. This article explores the architecture of digital interactions between EV, urban infrastructure and IoT platforms, and analyzes promising mechanisms for extracting economic benefits from the secondary value of data. Particular attention is paid to business models based on subscriptions, micropayments, and data exchange in the context of public-private partnerships. Potential challenges related to data rights, cybersecurity, and regulatory barriers are also considered.
