Abstract

The widespread use of electric transport is having a growing impact on the functioning of energy systems, changing the consumption structure, load peaks and the sustainability of the grid infrastructure. The article assesses the scale of additional load on the energy system in the context of accelerated growth of the electric vehicle fleet, analyzes charging scenarios and their impact on daily and seasonal consumption profiles. Particular attention is paid to the impact of simultaneous charging, load distribution over the territory, risks of local overloads and economic consequences for operators and consumers.
