Abstract
The article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the socio-economic aspects of the development of mass sports. The purpose of the study is to analyze the multifactorial impact of public involvement in regular physical education and sports on public well–being and economic efficiency. As part of the work, tasks were set to identify key social effects of mass sports, such as health promotion, social capital formation and personal development.; an assessment of its economic contribution through reducing health care costs, stimulating economic activity and increasing labor productivity; as well as an analysis of factors contributing to or hindering the development of mass sports at various levels. The results obtained demonstrate a close relationship between the level of development of mass sports and indicators of public health, social cohesion and economic prosperity. The practical significance of the research lies in substantiating the need for the priority development of mass sports at the state and municipal levels, providing recommendations for the formation of effective policy in this area and stimulating investments in sports infrastructure and programs. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the systematization and in-depth analysis of the economic benefits received by society and the state from investments in mass sports, as well as in the consideration of the complex impact of sports on the social structure and human capital.
