Abstract

This article presents the results of developing and testing a methodology for assessing and managing the corporate culture of a university to increase the engagement of academic staff. Based on a comprehensive analysis of data obtained during a study at ITMO University, the author proposes a mathematical model for the quantitative evaluation of corporate culture components and their impact on engagement. Key factors influencing the engagement levels of various categories of university employees were identified, with professional self-realization and development opportunities proving more significant than interpersonal relationships, as previously assumed. The developed methodology includes a two-dimensional scale for assessing corporate culture parameters and an algorithm for calculating an integral indicator that enables differentiated management approaches for different employee groups. The proposed toolkit, which includes respondent clustering procedures and result visualization, opens new possibilities for strategic planning in organizational culture development. The research findings may be used to improve human resource management strategies in modern innovative universities.
