Abstract
The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the economic and managerial aspects of the functioning of the modern sports industry. The purpose of the study is to identify the specifics of economic processes and to consider key challenges and strategic approaches in the management of sports organizations in the context of increasing commercialization and globalization. The paper analyzes the structure of the sports industry as a multibillion-dollar sector of the economy, examines the main sources of income for sports clubs and leagues, examines the features of financial and strategic management in sports, and examines current trends in the development of the industry, including digital transformation and sustainability issues. The results indicate the transformation of sports from a predominantly social sphere into a complex business landscape that requires professional economic analysis and strategic management to ensure competitiveness and sustainable development. The practical significance of the research lies in providing a systematic understanding of the economic mechanisms and management tools necessary for the effective functioning of sports organizations and the development of sound policies in the field of sports development. The scientific novelty of the work consists in an integrated approach to the consideration of the relationship between economic factors and management decisions in the dynamic and specific environment of the sports industry.
