Abstract

The totality of sustainable development requirements creates a complex systemic problem, the solution of which directly depends on the creation of adequate tools for analyzing strategic directions of sustainable development of agro-food systems of various levels. The authors of this article aimed to analyze modern proposals of Russian researchers to improve the methods of strategic planning for sustainable development of food systems and current opportunities for their complementation and development. In modern conditions, the influence of uncertainties in the external economic environment, interregional food exchange and changes in the bioclimatic potential of territories must be considered within the framework of a single task of transferring the food system of our country to a safe and sustainable development mode. Under these conditions, the apparatus of economic and mathematical modeling requires significant revision, ensuring a more systematic reflection of reality, which is an urgent scientific problem. The agro-industrial complex model and the Decarbon-CX information and analytical system, presented from various sides in this work, have parameters that allow them to be used within the framework of the created digital platform for strategic planning.
