Abstract

The article is devoted to pricing strategies in the retail market, with an emphasis on food products. The author divides product groups by the coefficient of elasticity of demand by price. The article considers strategies for setting high and low prices for nearby stores with identical assortment in the same price segment. Methods of game theory and economic theory are used to explain pricing mechanisms. The best strategies for each product group are identified.
