Abstract

The article considers modern aspects of digitalization of logistics processes and the role of intangible assets in the pulp and paper industry. It examines key technologies of digital transformation of logistics, including the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and blockchain, as well as their impact on the efficiency and productivity of the industry. The authors analyze the features of supply chain management using digital platforms, propose new approaches to measuring efficiency based on digital metrics and consider the problems of valuing intangible assets in the context of digitalization. The work identifies the main barriers to digital transformation, including technological difficulties, cybersecurity threats and data privacy issues, and presents strategies for overcoming them. Particular attention is paid to the economic aspects of digitalization, reducing operating costs through automation and long-term financial consequences of implementing digital initiatives. Based on the analysis of best industry practices, the authors formulate recommendations for developing a digital transformation “roadmap” and creating a culture of innovation for the successful integration of digital technologies into the logistics operations of pulp and paper enterprises.
