Abstract
In the context of the social and economic sport’s role transformation, financial strategy becomes a key tool for the sustainable management of sports facilities. This article explores the theoretical foundations and practical aspects of developing and implementing financial strategies in the management of modern sports infrastructure. The paper analyzes strategic financial management concepts applied to dual- purpose assets–both commercial and socially-oriented. Special attention is paid to the structure of income and expenditure streams, the role of public and private funding, partnership mechanisms, self-sufficiency, and subsidization models. Based on the analysis of current practices in Russia and abroad, key challenges are identified: limited budgetary support, high capital intensity of facilities, seasonal fluctuations, and reputational risks. The study proposes directions for optimizing financial strategies based on the principles of efficiency, sustainability, and transparency. The results may be useful for sports authorities, facility owners, and regional development program designers.
