Abstract
Current transformations in engineering education are driven by the need to develop professional and cross-functional competencies that meet the demands of the digital economy. Project-based learning, as a tool for integrating theoretical and applied components of training, acquires strategic importance for universities engaged in engineering education. The article discusses the functional characteristics of project learning, institutional models of its implementation in technical universities, mechanisms of interaction with industrial partners, and evaluates the economic effect of the project-based approach for both educational institutions and employers. The paper highlights the possibilities of scaling and digital transformation of project-based training in the context of labor market dynamics and technological changes.
