Abstract

The formation of human capital in the context of the digital economy implies a significant transformation in the content, formats, and institutions of education. This article examines the role of universities as key agents providing training for the digital sector of the economy. The structural components of human capital affected by digitalization are analyzed, along with institutional changes in higher education aimed at reproducing digital competencies. The paper outlines the directions of university adaptation to the requirements of the digital environment: implementation of new educational models, cooperation with business, and the development of digital infrastructure. The necessity of systematic integration of higher education with digital economy ecosystems to form a competitive workforce is substantiated.
