Abstract
The modern era is characterized by the rapid development of information technologies and the widespread automation of labor processes in almost all sectors of the economy. Automation significantly changes established ideas about the role of managers and puts forward completely new requirements for the professional qualities of managers. This article is devoted to the study of the impact of automation on changes in the functions and competencies of managers, the analysis of the experience of domestic companies and the development of recommendations for the successful adaptation of managers to new business conditions. Particular attention is paid to the impact of automation on the organizational structure of enterprises, profiling new qualified models of managers and developing methods for adaptation to digitalization conditions. The increasing role of emotional intelligence, big data analysis skills and the overall digitalization of managerial competencies is also emphasized.
