Abstract

The aim of the article is to study the educational potential of works of fine arts in the development of visual thinking and the formation of worldview of university students. The research reveals the methods of mastering the educational capacities of works of art in the higher education system. The article describes the results of a multi-stage experiment conducted at the Siberian Federal University aimed at studying the influence of communication with works of art on the formation of students’ worldview. In the description of the experiment the authors demonstrate various aspects of the correlation between the visual thinking activity of students and their skills of worldview modeling. The study determines the practical significance of the research results in the field of education management.
